MILFORD - Nancy A. Darling passed away at the Genesis Milford Center surrounded by her family on Monday, March 1, 2021. She was the daughter of the late, Arthur C. and Josephine E. Bradley.
Nancy was a nursing aide for 40 years, and fostered 59 children and three senior adults during her time as a foster care provider. She was a strong, caring, and giving person. Her family enjoyed taking car rides together and going camping. When she was younger, Nancy was an artist. She did a lot of stained-glass work, and her chalk drawings could be found hanging in several churches. She also liked to do puzzles and frame them for hanging, as well as take photos and make them into greeting cards. Nancy sang in a lady's trio, and played eleven instruments, including the trumpet, clarinet, and marimba, with the marimba being her favorite. A woman of strong faith, she attributed and dedicated all her talents to God. Nancy was a member of the Milford Church of God, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents; Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard E. Darling; daughters, Deborah Sherman, and Joyce Jobes; and sisters, Mildred Easton and Jean Beall.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Darling; daughter, Dawn Lee; grand-daughter who she raised, Ruthie Van Weele; brother, John W. Bradley; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Hollywood Cemetery, Milford-Harrington Hwy. Harrington, Del.
Arrangements are by the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home Inc., Harrington, Del. Visit us at www.melvinfuneralhome.com to sign the online condolence book.
