OCEAN CITY, Md. - Michael Thomas Baylis, of Ocean City, died Monday, March 3, 2008. He was 42.
Born on Feb. 25, 1966, in New Jersey, he was the son of Suzanne (Idell) Baylis and the late Thomas H. Baylis.
Michael worked in the restaurant business all his life, and most recently was the operations manager at Hooters Restaurant in Ocean City for many years.
He was a graduate of Smyrna High School in 1984 and attended Wesley College in Dover.
In his early years, Michael played football and lacrosse.
Along with his mother, he is survived by a brother, Larney Baylis and his wife Maureen; a sister, Leslie Taylor; an uncle, Richard Baylis and his wife Lou; three nephews, Thomas and Brice Baylis and Ryan Taylor; two nieces, Cassie Baylis and Marsha Taylor; and many friends.
A memorial service will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday in the Burbage Funeral Home, Berlin.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 100 W. 10th St., Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801.
