LANSDALE, Pa. - Michael J. Cardillo, a lifetime Lansdale resident, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, April 20, 2008. He was 19.

Born in Lansdale, he was the beloved son of Michael C. Cardillo of Lansdale and Mary C. (McGlothlin) Cardillo of Dover, Del.

He was a self-taught, accomplished guitarist.

In addition to his passion for music, Michael was also artistic, loved sports and especially loved yearly camping trips to Knoebels with family.

He loved life and touched the hearts of family and friends with his genuine love for all.

Michael will truly be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Melissa McGlothlin of Dover; paternal grandparents, Conrad and Charolette "Mom Mom" Cardillo, with whom he lived; maternal grandparents, Larry and Sandra McGlothlin, of Dover; paternal great-grandmother, Frances Cardillo of Oakdale; aunts and uncles, Mark Cardillo and his wife Renai, Debra Brobst and her husband Tony, Kevin Cardillo and his wife Cathy, Steven Cardillo and his wife Sherri, and Martin Lee McGlothlin and his wife Carmen; and numerous cousins.

Relatives and friends may greet the family after 11:30 a.m. today and are invited to attend his funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale.

Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.

Instead of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, donations in his memory are preferred to Towamencin Township Police Department, designated TEAM (which stands for Teaching, Educating, And Mentoring for drug awareness).
