Marydel - Michael "Chef Mike" Culver passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was well known for his cooking and summer barbeques. He was formally employed by Harrington Casino and Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital, as an executive chef.
Born in Baltimore, Md. on Dec. 9, 1959, he was the son of Robert and Dorothy Culver, of Greenwood. He is survived by his parents, a brother, Chuck Culver and his wife, Sue Bellman Culver, of Glen Burnie, Md.; a sister, Sandy O'Reilly and her husband, Michael O'Reilly, of Oregon; and his domestic partner, Beverly Ann Mahon, with whom he lived. Michael is also survived by four daughters and five grandchildren.
A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at a future date. Michael requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, 100 West 10th Street, Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801.
