Michael Andrew Chituck passed away suddenly at home on May 19, 2022.
He was born in New York where he worked as a well driller and a clammer. He moved to Delaware in 1989 where he started his 30-year career with Perdue Farms. Originally hired in maintenance, he earned his Associates Degree in Engineering and quickly became one of the 1st employees hired in Perdue's Engineering Department. Most recently he became employed as an Engineer with Jack Farrior Inc. in Greenville, N.C.
He loved listening to Pink Floyd, and Eric Clapton, fishing, canoeing and working on his Willys Jeep. He was a family man who greatly enjoyed his work, fixing things, and was always willing to step in and help out whenever needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Janice and John Chituck.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Marianne Chituck; children, Erica Melvin (Jason), Jason Chituck, Ryan Chituck and Christina Chituck; step sons, Brandon Carter (Elizabeth) and Steven Carter; grandchildren, Taylor Melvin, Sarah Melvin, James Melvin, Rylan Carter, Jaxon Carter, Jessa Chituck, RJ Chituck, and Angelina Chituck; siblings, Jean Schmidt (Mike), James Chituck (Pat), Alice Premus (John), and Dianne; Marianne and Roger Copenhaver; and many more beloved family and friends.
Services will be held Friday, May 27, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Melvin Funeral Home in Harrington, Delaware with visitation from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington, Delaware.
