Mary Elizabeth Cuff

DOVER - Mary Elizabeth Cuff, departed this life on Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Kent General Hospital in Dover, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hudson, N.Y., on April 7, 1921, to the late Howard R. Coleman and Effie Selena Brummel. Her early childhood education was completed in various school districts in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, and she was awarded a degree from Temple University prior to beginning her career that included being a Social Worker and Librarian in Philadelphia, Pa. and a school teacher on the Eastern Shore in Maryland. In 1956, she married George Wayne Cuff, and they had two children. Over the span of more than 50 years, Mary traveled extensively with her husband, as he ministered the gospel of Jesus Christ while faithfully serving in the United Method Church. A Memorial Tribute will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Whatcoat United Method Church, 16 North Main Street, Camden, Del. Interment will be private, and there will not be a public viewing. Services entrusted to Bennie Smith Funeral Home. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook may be signed at www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com.
