BLADES - Mary Alice Meadows passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Delmar, Del.. Born in Grundy, Va., she was the daughter of Lue Van Dykes and Oval Short. She was a factory worker before retiring. She is survived by one son, Arnold K. Meadows of Willards, Md.; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Meadows, in 1982; two daughters, Pauline W. Arnett and Dorothy Mosley; three sisters, Mary Hale, Dorey Cook and Hazel Hale. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Front & King Sts., Seaford, Del., where friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Blades Cemetery, Blades, Del.
