Mark S. Mood

SMYRNA - Mark S. Mood of Smyrna, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was 56. Mr. Mood was born Dec. 12, 1954, in Dover, the son of Donald Mood of Clayton, and the late Ruth Janet Mood. Mark held several jobs in his life working for several watermen and for various construction companies. He was a very artistic and thoughtful person who enjoyed playing music and spending time with his grandchildren, friends and family. He enjoyed traveling, drawing and writing. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Jr. in 2003. In addition to his father, he is survived by his fiance and companion, Doris Touchstone; a son, Pastor Mark Loder of Winsted, Minn.; a daughter, Lu (Amanda) Mood of Smyrna; three brothers, Chris Mood, Sr. and his wife Marie of Smyrna, Jeff Mood and his children, Joey, Marco, and Jennifer all of Germany, and Michael Mood and his companion Lucy Wright of Smyrna; six grandchildren; and three nieces and two nephews. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery in Smyrna. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19904. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
