MILFORD - Mark Royden Piper passed away at home on January 25, 2022.
Mark was currently employed at the Dover Air Force Base, and had been employed there for at least 30 years. He was a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. Mark served his country in the United States Navy for four years. He enjoyed taking long drives and going to Williamsburg, VA and Longwood Gardens, many times taking photos of nature and birds. Mark also enjoyed NASCAR.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Alice R. (Vincent) and S. Royden Piper. He is survived by his brother, Jeffrey Piper of Newark; and by his sister, Ruth Ann Piper of Dover; his nieces and nephews, Seann Piper (Cindy), Kevin Adam Burdette and Suzanna Gorlich (Andrew); and several great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where friends may visit with the family from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Delaware Veterans Home at 100 Veterans Blvd., Milford, DE 19963 or to the Friends of Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge at friendsofbombayhook.org.
