Marjorie Root

HARRINGTON - Marjorie Root passed away Oct. 7, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Forrest and Ruth Jury.
Marjorie was a cashier for many years at Pathmark.
Marjorie enjoyed crossword puzzles, quilting, and living a simple life. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed watching the cooking channel, especially Rachel Ray, Paula Deen, Pioneer Woman. Marjorie was a saint who would go out of her way to give to others. She dearly loved her family and grandkids.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Compassionate Care Hospice for all their help and Pilgrim Chapel for all their prayers and support.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded by her sister, Judy Lefebvre.
Marjorie is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Leonard Root; sons, Joseph Root (Heather Parkhurst) and Lenny Root Jr. (Bernadette); daughter, Jacquelyn Vanarsdall (Joshua); grandchildren, Michael, Joshua Jr., Isabelle, Kaelin, Taelyr, Travis, and Kayla; daughter in law, Jessica Donovan; brothers, Fred Jury (Tammy), Lynn Jury (Vickie), Bob Jury (Mim); sisters, Linda Ticconi, Laura Collins; and brother in law, Bob Lefebvre.
Donations in honor of Marjorie, can be sent to Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 248 E. Chestnut Hill Road, Ste 4, Newark, DE 19713.
A memorial service will be held at a later date by the family.
