Marian E. Holleger

DOVER - Marian E. Holleger passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2013 in Kent General Hospital, Dover. Marian was born on Nov. 25, 1933 in Tannersville, N.Y., daughter of the late Wesley and Lillian (Johnson) Rose. She had worked and retired from food services of the Caesar Rodney High School. Marian enjoyed playing bingo, loved animals and will be remembered as helping anyone in need. She was a member of the Sunshine Foundation and the Capital Grange. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, David Holleger and Barry Rose. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Frederick Holleger; three children, George Holleger and his wife Cathy, of Jefferson, Ga., Jeff Holleger of Dover and Cheryl Schlitt and her husband Reiner, of Dover; a twin sister, Marilyn Patterson of Chincoteague, Va.; sister, Sandra Joiner of Tolchester, Md.; a brother, Ronald Rose of Rock Hall, Md.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Kent County S.P.C.A., 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
