Maria A. Valentone, 71

MILFORD - Maria A. Valentone, of Milford, formerly of Staten Island, N.Y., died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 71. She was born in Montevideo, Uraguay, the daughter of the late Silvio Alvarez and Felicia Rios. She was a homemaker. Maria loved to cook and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Vincenzo Valentone; a son Emilio Valentone and his wife Lorraine of Staten Island, N.Y.; a daughter, Jenny Knutsen and her husband Dean of Milford; five grandchildren, Anthony Valentone, Michael Valentone, Tyler - Rose Knutsen, Daniel Knutsen, and Robert Knutsen; and one sister. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford.
