Margaret E.Layfield, 78

FRANKFORD - Margaret E. Layfield of Frankford died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, in her home. She was 78.

She was a homemaker and poultry grower.

Mrs. Layfield was a member of Frankford Chapter 12 of the Order Of The Eastern Star for more than 50 years and attended St. Matthew's By the Sea United Methodist Church, Fenwick Island.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, W. Kenneth Layfield, in 2002.

She is survived by five aunts, Lulu Daisey, Nellie Brasure, Rebecca Moore, Ollie Tharp and Martha McCabe; three cousins, Ollie Ann Hitchens, Ruth Ann Evans and Carolyn Tosti; an uncle, Clinton Evans; and her special friends, Donna Tingle and Bob Bryan.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Matthew's by the Sea United Methodist Church, Ocean Highway and Dagsboro Street, Fenwick Island, where friends may call one hour earlier. The Revs. Bruce Miller and Donald Clendaniel will officiate.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Disabled Children's Fund, c/o St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, Fenwick Island, DE 19944.
