Margaret A. Davis, 71
DELMAR - Margaret A. Davis, of Delmar, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, in the Seaford Center-Genesis Eldercare, Seaford. She was 71.
Mrs. Davis was born on Dec. 19, 1935, in Pittsville, Md., the daughter of the late Robert Kelso Tyndall and Elva Madeline Gravenor Tyndall.
She worked as a chicken processor in Berlin, Md., for more than 30 years before retiring in 1999.
Mrs. Davis was a member of St. John AME. Zion Church, Laurel, where she had served on the missionary board.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George T. Davis, on Nov. 5, 1993; a daughter, Nancy Mae Hitchens; and brothers Ernest Kelso Tyndall and James Spencer.
She is survived by a son, Winifred James Hastings of Gumboro and his father, Roland James Hastings of Ocean City, Md.; two brothers, Russell Charles Tyndall of Stokely and Merrill Lee Tyndall of Delmar, Md.; a sister, Bonnie June Scott of Delmar, with whom she resided for the past two years; a stepdaughter, Nora Townsend of Georgetown; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Buttons, whom she dearly loved.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday in St. John AME Zion Church, Laurel, near Ross" Point, where friends may call two hours prior.
Her pastor, Minister Shirley Caldwell, and the Rev. Dr. John W. Kennedy, presiding elder of Philadelphia Eastern Shore District, both officiating.
Interment will follow at Line United Methodist Church Cemetery in Delmar, Md.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 114 Baptist St., Salisbury, MD 21801.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Framptom Funeral Home, P.A., Federalsburg, Md.
