Marcella Bailey Watts GREENSBORO, MD. - Marcella Bailey Watts, passed away Nov.12, 2009 in Silver City, N.M. Born in Wichita, Kan., she called Greensboro, Md., home. She taught school there for 20 years, and then spent 17 years at Robert Goddard JHS as Media Specialist. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, an honorary teachers' sorority. Marcella and her second husband. Bernard Watts, lived in Centerville and spent 16 years boating on the Chesapeake as members of the Kent Island Yacht Club. She served two years as President of the Ladies' Auxiliary while Bernie was Commodore. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Bailey Fisher of Silver City; her grandson, Matthew J. Erbe and his wife Viola and their two children Hannah Leah and John from Chantilly, Va.; and one brother, Hugh M. Smith and his wife Terry from Shepardstown, W.Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Marcella was a Past Matron of Caroline County Chapter #62 Order of the Eastern Star whose members will provide a graveside service in Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro, Md., Saturday, May 22nd at 1 p.m., where she will be interred next to her parents, Jesse and Mabel Smith; and her daughter's father, William D. Bailey. Immediately following, the family will receive old friends at Harry's to celebrate a life well lived.
