Madeline C. Minner, 86

HARRINGTON - Madeline C. Minner, of Harrington, died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 86. She was born in Dover, the daughter of the late Lemuel and Dorothy Dische Spence. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Houston U.M. Church, Harrington Moose Lodge and the Harrington and Frederica Senior Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Minner Jr. in 1979; a sister, Emily Hurd; and a granddaughter, Melissa Minner. She is survived by her children, Marilyn Dernberger and her husband Melvin,Jr. of Harrington and Henry Minner III of Greenwood; one sister, Virginia Vanderwende of Frederica; grandchildren, William and Star Dernberger, Henry Minner IV, Austin Minner, Aubrey Minner, Amanda Minner, Chase Minner and Sarah Minner; three great-grandchildren, Tiffany Dernberger, Candice Windsor, and Nicole Windsor; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 11, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call Wednesday night from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
