Ludwig 'Bud' Stuchlik, 86
REHOBOTH BEACH - Ludwig "Bud" Stuchlik passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Beebe Hospital in Lewes, Delaware. Bud was born on July 21, 1935, son of the late Charles F. Stuchlik and Margaret (Palmer) Stuchlik.
Born during the Great Depression, Bud grew up on a ten-acre farm in Milton, Delaware. After graduating from Milton High School, he attended Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware and studied accounting. Bud and his wife, Jane, were married on August 18, 1956, at Harbeson U.M. Church. Bud worked at several different jobs during his career and spoke fondly of his time with Hammond Cadillac before settling in to a long career with Anderson Stokes Real Estate. After many years residing in Gravel Hill, near Georgetown, Delaware Bud and Jane moved to Rehoboth Beach, residing there while also enjoying their winters in Jupiter, Florida. After moving to Rehoboth Beach, they joined Epworth U.M. Church. Bud enjoyed cars, music, the sun and beach, and travelling, which included him taking numerous cruises with his wife.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane in 2016; his son, Glenn Stuchlik in 1962; and his daughter-in-law, Rebecca Stuchlik in 2020.
He is survived by his three sons, Christopher L. Stuchlik, David W. Stuchlik and his children Sarah, Logan, Allison, and Ian, Jonathan Todd Stuchlik and wife Jackie, and their children Mitch, Jake, Luke, and Jude.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be Sunday, February 13, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Harbeson Cemetery, Harbeson, Delaware.
