Lucille H. Webb

SMYRNA - Lucille H. Webb of Smyrna, passed away at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Del., surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012. Mrs. Webb was born Aug. 1, 1930 in Georgetown, Del., the daughter of the late Irving and Esther Hall. She graduated from Milford High School in 1948, where she played on the varsity girl's basketball team for two years. In her youth, she attended Calvary Methodist Church in Milford. After high school Lucille went on to work for International Playtex for 17 years. Mrs. Webb was a member of The Nature Conservancy, and served as Treasurer for Cub Pack 135 and Scout Troop 135, as her son progressed through the scouting program. She was also the Financial Secretary of the family business, Han-tec, a residential contracting business. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Randall Lee "Randy" Webb, Sr. in 2007; two sisters, Mary Davis and Dorothy Hallman. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, James W. Webb; two grandchildren, Ashley Pearl Webb and Randall Lee Webb, Jr.; a great grandson, Carter Lee James Stiles; a brother, Irving J. Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel located on 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna.
