DOVER - Louise D. Morgan, a resident of the Heritage at Dover, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007, after a brief illness, surrounded by her family. She was 86.
She was born Aug. 15, 1920, in Petersburg, Va., to the late Hugh C. and Gladys (Shackleford) Davies.
Louise was a longtime resident of Suffolk, Va., and was a lifelong member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Suffolk.
She enjoyed and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Stanley Morgan; and her grandson, Michael C. Pettyjohn Sr.
Louise is survived by three daughters, Barbara Pettyjohn and her husband George of Dover, Betsy Andress and her husband Walter of Richmond, Va., and Dabney Mason of Viola; a sister, Helen Sims and her husband Charles of Suffolk; a brother, Sam Davies of Suffolk; her grandchildren, Susan Gould, Morgan, Chris and Justin Andress, and Christian Mason; and her great-grandchildren, Michael C. and Taylor Pettyjohn, Nadia and Jackson Gould, Kyle, Tyler, Garrett, Claire, Bailey and Susannah Andress.
A celebration of life service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Main Street United Methodist Church, 202 N. Main St., Suffolk. Interment will be private.
