Lloyd Kendall Boulter, 68
DOVER - Lloyd Kendall Boulter of Dover died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 68.
He was born Sept. 11, 1939, in Skinners Neck, Md., son of the late Elmer and Martha (Kendall) Boulter.
Mr. Boulter served his country proudly for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1978 with the rank of master sergeant.
After the military he was employed with the U.S. Postal Service and retired in 1992 as postmaster at the Marydel Post Office.
After leaving the post office, Mr. Boulter returned to college and received his associate"s degree in applied science and business technology from Delaware Technical & Community College in 1984.
He then attended Delaware State University and received his Bachelor of Science in accounting and business administration in 1995.
Mr. Boulter opened his own in-home tax service in 1995, which he ran until the present.
He was a sports enthusiast, especially watching golf on television, and enjoyed staying current with politics.
Mr. Boulter will be remembered as a giving person and always willing to help others in need.
He enjoyed dining out, especially with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Peggy Jean Boulter; a son, Lloyd K. Boulter Jr. and his wife Linda of Townsend; two daughters, Lisa K. Domfort of Camden and Lori L. Boulter of Dover; two sisters, Genevieve Potts of Chestertown, Md., and Doris Trimble of Skinners Neck; five grandchildren, Jessica Campbell-Howe, John David Kirwin, James Michael Domfort, Zachary Taylor Boulter and Kayla Loren Boulter; and two great-granddaughters, Dolly Jean Campbell-Howe and Trinity Lavalley Kemp.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call two hours earlier.
Burial with full military honors will follow in Barratt"s Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
