CLAYTON - Lewis Jerome Healy, Jr. passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at home.
Mr. Healy was born March 19, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Lewis J. Healy, Sr. and Marie Dorothy Brendel Healy. Mr. Healy was an Eagle Scout with his brothers and served as a Scout Leader. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore with a degree in Marketing and received his Master's Degree in Administration and International Commerce from Georgetown University. Mr. Healy served in the United States Army and Air Force Reserves.
Mr. Healy was a professor for 42 years at Chesapeake College. He was an arbitrator for the New York Stock Exchange. He was also a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Dover and the Smyrna Grange. Mr. Healy facilitated and organized trips overseas and to New York City for local groups and the College. He loved traveling the world, taking pictures and meeting new people.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by brother, Richard Philip Healy.
He is survived by his children, Juliet Marie Healy and her husband Ian Yesilonis of Catonsville, Md., Lewis J. Healy, III of Dover and Shannon Dorothy Healy of St. Louis, Mo.; brother, David Alan Healy and his wife Connie of Perry Hall, Md.; sister, Peggy Marie Buckless and her husband Dennis of Perry Hall, Md.; grandchildren, Kylan and Finn Yesilonis; two aunts and many loving cousins.
Services will be held at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 425 N. Dupont Highway, Dover, Delaware 19901, on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in memory of Jerry Healy to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church at 425 N. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901 or to the College Scholarship Fund at Chesapeake College, P.O. Box 8, Wye Mills, MD 21679.
