MILLERSBURG - Lester William Novinger (Bill), passed away on January 22, 2021 at Harrisburg Hospital.
Bill was born in Harrisburg, Pa. on May 7, 1945 to Lester W. Novinger and Ruth Witmer Novinger.
He was preceded in death by his parents and Francis Smith Novinger (Stepmother).
Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jo Ann Shumberger Novinger of Millersburg; son, Benjamin W. Novinger and wife, Tina, of Hummelstown; a grandson, Grant; and granddaughter, Peyton.
Bill was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church in Millersburg. He graduated from Dover High School, Dover, Delaware. He also attended Mitchell Jr. College and High Point College, North Carolina.
Bill was a proud U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a member of the Millersburg VFW and American Legion. He loved his time in Ocean City, Maryland, coaching youth soccer and baseball, and hearing the accomplishments of his grandchildren.
Services and burial were held at David's Community Bible Church Cemetary, Millersburg, on January 27, 2021.
The family wishes memorial contributions to be made to Mitchell Community College, Statesville NC or Hebron United Methodist Church, Millersburg.
Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes Ltd, Millersburg handled the arrangements.
