Lawrence E. "Larry" Logan of Goldsboro, MD, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025. He was born in Wilmington, DE, on May 15, 1948. Larry was a farmer. In addition, he retired from the University of DE where he worked as a plumber for 25 years. He was a longtime member of Moore's Chapel, Elkton, MD. Larry was the whipper-in for Pop Ford's Hunt and hunted the hounds after his grandfather and uncle passed. He enjoyed watching his Standardbred horse race. Traveling to the cabin in Potter County with his nieces and nephews was a favorite pastime. He enjoyed taking snowmobiling trips to Canada.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years: Gayle Logan; his mother: Evelyn Logan of North East, MD; one sister: Nancy L. Lehr (Daryl) of Elkton, MD; one niece: Megan Wiecek (David) of Perryville, MD; one nephew: Jason Lehr (Melissa) of North East, MD; great nieces: Ellie and Taylor; and great nephew: Logan.
Larry was preceded in death by his father: S. Nivin Logan.
Funeral service will be held Monday, January 27, 2025 at 11:00 am at Moore's Chapel United Methodist Church, 392 Blake Road, Elkton, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Rev. Rob Townsend and Rev. Tim Beardsley will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
