MILLINGTON, Md. - Lawrence Delbert "Larry" Webber of Millington died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at the Chester River Hospital Center, as a result of a car accident. He was 59.

Larry was born June 18, 1948, in Chestertown, son of the late Lawrence Webber and Jean (Thorpe) Deisem.

He worked as a truck driver for more than 40 years and was most recently employed by R.S. Logging, Millington.

Mr. Webber was an avid NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon 24 car. He also enjoyed woodworking, Friday night gatherings and family gatherings.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Webber was preceded in death by one son, Charles David Webber; and one brother, Billy Webber.

He is survived by one daughter, Clara "Del" Cecil and her husband James of Rock Hall; two sisters, Robin Campbell and her husband Geoff of Newbern, Tenn., and Lori Ann Holleger and her husband Rick of Millington; two brothers, Bobby Deisem and his wife Crystal of Millington, and Mike Husfelt of South Carolina; his fiancee, Marianne Ellingsworth of Clayton, Del.; two stepchildren, George and Sharon Thomas of Millington; two grandchildren, Dylan J. Cecil and Heather M. Webber; eight additional grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be held in Crumpton Cemetery.
