Lavant John Stambro, 58

FEDERALSBURG, Md. - Lavant John Stambro of Federalsburg died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, in Memorial Hospital, Easton. He was 58.

Mr. Stambro was born in Atlantic City, N.J., son of the late John A. and Emily L. (Bowers) Stambro.

He was a taxi cab driver and dispatcher in Atlantic City for many years.

He and his family came to Maryland in 1985 and moved to St. Michaels in 1990.

Mr. Stambro was the Scout Master for Troop 741, St. Michaels. Recently, he was living in Federalsburg with his son, David.

He is survived by four sons, Lavant Stambro of Denton, Barry Stambro of Denton, David Stambro of Federalsburg and Milton Stambro of Preston; two brothers, Carlo Stambro and Tony Scull, both of Absecan, N.J.; and three grandchildren, Pete, Barry and Ayrianna.

Services will be private.

Arrangements by Moore Funeral Home, PA, 12 S. Second St., Denton.
