Larry Wilbur Horrocks

SMYRNA - Larry Wilbur Horrocks passed away, Monday, Aug. 6, 2018 at Kent General Hospital.
Mr. Horrocks was born June 19, 1940 in Chadds Ford, Pa. to the late Wilbur Horrocks and Marian Lynch Horrocks.
He grew up in Chadds Ford before moving to Claymont, then Newark and finally in 1999 moved to Smyrna. Mr. Horrocks worked as a roofer mostly in Pennsylvania and then became a heavy equipment operator where he worked for VFL Technology and Head Waters, retiring after 22 years in 2005. He enjoyed classic cars, the Baltimore Ravens, animals and working outdoors. Mr. Horrocks attended 4 the World Ministries Church in Clayton.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James Horrocks.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Larraine Piasecki Horrocks of Smyrna; sons, Larry G. Horrocks (Jackie) of Wilmington and Michael R. Horrocks of Smyrna; daughter, Jennifer Richardville of Wilmington; sister, Janet Smith of West Chester, Pa; grandchildren, John, Shawn and Cody Horrocks, Amanda and Brianne Richardville; great-granddaughter, Emma Rose Richardville; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Edward Kowalko.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to 4 the World Ministries, 398 Chrisitiana River Drive, Clayton, DE 19938.
