SMYRNA - Keith Lamont Grant of Smyrna, born December 8, 1960, went home to be with the Lord on October 5, 2014 while surrounded by family and friends at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital in Dover. Keith, affectionately nicknamed "Punchie" by his grandparents, William and Susie Rolley, graduated in 1979 from Washington High School in Princess Anne, Md. He attended classes at Delaware Technical & Community College in Wilmington. In his early career, Keith worked as a chef in Ocean City, Md. and also in Florida. After moving to Delaware, he transitioned to banking, starting his career as a security guard and working his way up to an Assistant Vice President in what is now known as JPMorgan Chase. During his banking career, Keith received numerous accolades and awards, including the Black Achiever in Business and Industry Award. He was a mentor and an umpire, as well as an assistant baseball coach and an assistant football coach for New Castle County Little League. Keith enjoyed entertaining family and friends with frequent barbeques and dinners at his home. He was a life-long fan of the Dallas Cowboys and a huge fan of Michael Jackson. A member of The Pentecostal's of Dover. Keith is survived by his wife, Laura; two sons, Stephen of Middletown and Christian; and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Marva Norfleet of New Castle; three sisters, Angela (Russell) Baker of Waldorf, Md., Teresa Towns of Newark, and Myra Towns of Wheaton, Md.; his nephew who was like another son to him, Melvin Bivens; a great-niece; his cousin, who was like a brother to him, Dave Rolley; and his father-in-law whom he considered to be his father, Ismael Roldan. Keith will forever be remembered and cherished by his entire family and friends. A viewing will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014 at The Pentecostal's of Dover, located at 4462 W. Denney's Road, Dover. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna.
