Kathleen 'Katie' Hyun Clancy, 15
DENTON, Md. - Kathleen "Katie" Hyun Clancy of Denton died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, as a result of an automobile accident at Md. 404, Denton. She was 15.
She was born Sept. 30, 1992, in Pusan, South Korea, to Robert L. and Mary Jo (Misner) Clancy of Denton.
Katie was a ninth-grade home-schooled student of St. Rita Academy.
Her love of animals led her to pursue a part-time job at the Caroline County Animal Shelter, where she also volunteered as well.
Katie was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Marydel, where she volunteered as an alter server.
In addition to her parents, she is survived two brothers, Anjo Clancy and Guiller Clancy, both of Denton; four sisters, Ginalyn Clancy, Janine Marie Clancy, Patricia Clancy and Elizabeth Clancy, all of Denton; one uncle, Greg Misner of Denton; maternal grandparents, Dolores and George Misner of Queensbury, N.Y.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Main Street, Marydel.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro.
Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Greensboro.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Caroline County Humane Society, 407 W. Bell St., Ridgely, MD 21660.
