Judith A. Melnick, 66 MAGNOLIA - Judith A. Melnick, of Magnolia, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at Christiana Hospital. She was 66. Mrs. Melnick was born Nov. 12, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late Harvey S. Goodman and Gertrude Butler Goodman. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Melnick is survived by her husband of 47 years, Harry L. Melnick of Magnolia; three sons, Scott Melnick (Debbie), Harry Melnick (Stephanie) all of Dover, and Michael Melnick of Felton; three daughters, Colleen Arkell (Steve) of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., Wendy Beck (Joe) of Dover, and Kelly Melnick of Magnolia; sister, Darlene Busch of Magnolia; ten grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loving animals, Lily, Diamond, Crystal, Poppy, Hybra, Riff Raff and Kit. Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 24, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover. Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in her name to the Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
