Joyce Ruth Stanley, 70
CAMDEN - Joyce Ruth Stanley of Camden died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover, surrounded by her loving family. She was 70.
Mrs. Stanley was born April 11, 1937, in Roanoke, Va., daughter of the late Gary and Ruth (Dillon) Cox.
She enjoyed her life as a homemaker and will always be remembered as a loving, caring, devoted wife, mother and grandmother ("Nana"). She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed antiquing, crafts and traveling.
Mrs. Stanley was a member of the 1500 Club with Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Va. Early in her Christian life, she taught Sunday school and played the piano at Victory Chapel Church. For the past 30 years, she had attended Calvary Assembly of God Church, Dover.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles Stanley Sr.; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Sharon and Bob Boyles of Hot Springs, Ark, and Rebecca and Ray Reddington, and Robin and Kevin List, all of Felton; a son, Charles L. Stanley Jr. of Hot Springs; six grandchildren, Gregory Boyles of Richmond, Va., Christopher Boyles of Smyrna, Charles Stanley III of Hot Springs, Carl Stanley of Dover, and Courtney List and Jonathan List, both of Felton.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Calvary Assembly of God Church, Dover, where friends also may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Calvary Assembly of God, 1141 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, DE 19901.
