DOVER - Joyce "Joy" Hall went home to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
Joy was born July 23, 1949, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Stanley Grygo Sr. and Ethel Ward Grygo, she moved to Dover in 1973 from Jefferson, Pennsylvania.
She worked for the State of Delaware in the Department of Transportation for 28 ½ years retiring in 2004, and then worked part-time for 5 years after her retirement. Joy was a lifetime Associate member of the FOP Lodge 3, Ladies of the Elks Lodge #1903, Lioness Club, Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 850. She was also a member of the Calvary Assembly of God's Church in Dover where she was a volunteer at the church food pantry, she loved helping people. Joy enjoyed crocheting, crafts, cooking, spending time with her family and friends. Most of all she loved going to her "Happy Place" in Chincoteague, Va.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald "Ronnie" Hall; brother, Stanley Grygo, Jr.; and grandson, Cody Williams Hall.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Christopher Hall and his wife Christine of Ft. Walton, Fla. and Lisa Hall and her husband Jake of Valparaiso, Fla.; sisters, Carol Ebinger and her husband Chuck of Glastonbury, Conn., and Patricia Roach and her husband Jim of Philadelphia, Pa.; sister-in-law, Dottie Grygo; grandchildren, Korey Morelli of Valparaiso, Fla. and Haley Snipes of Ft. Walton, Fla.; great granddaughter, Annalyse Poremba; several nieces and nephews; and two lifelong friends and caregivers, Kathleen Robinson and Louise Katarba, who were by her side until the end. And not to be forgotten were her beloved and loyal dogs, Spencer and Brandon.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m., Monday, September 13, 2021 at Calvary Church, 1141 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
