OCEAN VIEW - Joyce D. Sonntag of Ocean View, formerly of Washington, D.C., passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007, in her home, surrounded by her family. She was 76.
Mrs. Sonntag retired as the executive administrative assistant to the chief judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the federal circuit in Washington, D.C.
She loved spending time with her family and pets.
Mrs. Sonntag is survived by a son, W. Scott Sonntag and his wife Mary Lynn of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Dawn A. Sonntag and her partner Lisa Carver of Ocean View; a brother, Lee Kennedy and his wife Barbara of Annapolis, Md.; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Amy, Andrew, April, Rachel, Susie and Samantha; three great-grandsons, Dylan, Sam and Luke; three half-brothers, Larry, Tommy and Ben; and three half-sisters, Jody, Gerilyn and Jan.
A memorial mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Annunciation Catholic Church, 3810 Massachusetts Ave., N.W. Washington, D.C.
