Joyce Ann Lyons

LINCOLN - Joyce Ann Lyons, of Lincoln, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011, she was 66. Ms. Lyons was born in Harrington, the daughter of the late Norman and (Edna Mary Joseph) Rust. Ms. Lyons was a housekeeper for Capital Health Care in Dover for 13 years, retiring in 2000. She was a past member of the Harrington Moose Lodge #534, a member of the Milford Senior Center and also a volunteer at Bayhealth at Milford Memorial Hospital. Ms. Lyons enjoyed doing arts and crafts, she also enjoyed flowers and plants and especially spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Lyons and three brothers, Leroy, Calvin and Nathan Rust. She is survived by a daughter, Julia Sisson and her husband Robert of Lincoln; three sisters, Lois Hudson of Millsboro, Josie Chisenhall of Greenwood and Becky Layton of Harrington; five brothers, Wayne Rust of Harrington, Eddie Rust of Andrewsville, George Rust of Centerville Md., Kermit Rust of Harrington and Johnny Rust of Millsboro; four grandchildren, Leah Sisson, William Sisson, Iris Sisson and Isabella Sisson; a niece, Edie Santoro of Harrington; a nephew, Norman Rust of Milton; and a niece, Dawn Stone of Lincoln. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2011 in the Chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front Street, Milford, DE where friends may call on Wednesday evening, April 27, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton DE.
