Joy Alexis Tyransky, 68
On Tuesday, February 16, 2021 Joy Alexis Tyransky passed away peacefully in her home in the company of her partner Demmy Rankin and family in Lewes, Del.
Joy was born on July 17, 1952 in Carmichaels, Pa. as one of 13 children of Helen and Charles Tyransky. Joy was raised in Baltimore, Md. where she met her former spouse of 37 years Don Welling. Joy raised 5 children while tirelessly working in many restaurants to selflessly provide for her family. She was a loving mother and grandparent who will be remembered for her amazing family gatherings, where everyone was welcome and countless good memories were made that will live on.
Joy is survived by eight grandchildren, Chase Richardson, Lucas Welling, Ashton Richardson, Natalie Welling, Corinne Welling, Ethan Welling, Landon Welling, Cameron Welling; four children, Nichole Welling, Holly Bassett, Brandon Welling, Donald Welling; her partner, Demmy; and many other family members and friends.
Joy was predeceased by her former husband, Donald; her son, Daniel; and her parents, Helen and Charles.
The family will be holding a memorial service in the future when it is safe to do so with Covid.
In lieu of flowers, please submit donations to Joy's favorite charity the St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
