Joseph M. Polauf

CLAYTON - Joseph M. Polauf died on Sat., May 25, 2013 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md. Mr. Polauf was born on Apr. 1, 1931, in Elberta, Ala. He served his country with honors specializing as a Helicopter Mechanic in the U.S. Army while stationed in Germany. Mr. Polauf retired after many years as a self-employed Auto Mechanic. Joe enjoyed gardening and was especially proud of his roses. He was also a talented wood worker who made many beautiful pieces for his family; including yard ornaments, wishing wells, and flower carts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joseph; and his sister, Mary. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Joyce; two daughters, Mary Agnes and Anne Marie; eight siblings; three step-children, Lewis, Pamela, and Linda; and many nieces, nephews and grand and great grandchildren.
