Joseph L. Seiler Sr. of Denton died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, in Genesis Health Care - The Pines, Easton. He was 78.
He was born near Williston, son of the late Michael Jacob and Emma (Muggenthaler) Seiler.
Mr. Seiler lived in Caroline County all his life. He owned Joe Seiler Inc., as a self-employed carpenter and electrician. He was also a farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Seiler; and two sisters, Emma Blazejak and Anna Seiler.
He is survived by his wife, Judy A. Seiler; a son, Joseph L. Seiler Jr. of Denton; two daughters, Theresa Cahall of Denton and Patricia Ridgeway of Frederica, Del.; a brother, Michael Seiler of Denton; a sister, Marie Talosi of Greensboro; five grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second St., Denton, where friends may call one hour earlier.
The burial will be in Denton Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, c/o Mrs. Christy Coale, 216 N. Main St., Federalsburg, MD 21632.
