John 'Billy' William Arntz, 16

RIDGELY, Md. - John "Billy" William Arntz, of Ridgely, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, in the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore. He was 16. He was born on June, 20, 1992, son of Michael Arntz Sr. of Queenstown and Jan Davis Arntz of Ridgely. Billy was a junior attending North Caroline High School, Ridgely. He was active in sports having played lacrosse for the Kent Island Comets and ice hockey for the Easton Ice Hawks and the Little Caps. His love however, was motor cross, leaving the other sports to race at tracks all over Delmarva. He was also a member of the Ridgely Volunteer Fire Company. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Jennie Davis. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Michael "Mikey" Arntz Jr.; sister, Alexandra Arntz both of Ridgely; paternal grandparents, Fred and Audrey Koeniger of Waddington, N.Y.; three aunts and an uncle, Judy and husband Jim Mathew of St. Michaels, Carol Swensen of Sarasota, Fla., Liz and husband Bob Pudwell of Baja, Mexico, Jim and wife Leigh Koeniger of Osprey, Fla. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Ridgely United Methodist Church, on Central Ave. The family requests that memorials are sent to Ridgely Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 425 Ridgely, MD 21660.
