John R. 'Bob' Tice Sr., 74

LINCOLN - John R. "Bob" Tice Sr. of Lincoln passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, in home surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was 74.

He was born and raised in Toms River, N.J. and attended Toms River High School, class of 1951.

Bob honorably served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955.

He attended the Christ Episcopal Church in Toms River.

Bob worked many years in land and marine construction.

He was a former member and officer of the East Dover Fire Co. 4, Toms River.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Lester Tice; brother and sister-in-law, Lester A. and Candice; sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and William Vogel; and his niece, Ann Vogel Clayton.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years Bettyann of Lincoln; his former wife Mary Ann Dicken and her husband Paul of Toms River; sons, John R. Tice Jr. and his wife Margaret of Toms River, William C. Tice of Toms River and Christopher L. Stout of Ormon Beach, Fla.; daughters, Cynthia A. and her husband Michael Bartley of Bayville, N.J. and Laura M. and her husband Jack Fabian of Toms River; nine grandchildren, Ty, Jennifer, Kayla, Richard, Lauren, Nicole, Billie, Matthew and Christopher; three great-grandchildren, Shane, Ryan Jr. and Cynthia; sister-in-law, Joan Roberts Tice; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be in May, with the spreading of his ashes into the sea.

Donations can be made in his name to ReClam the Bay Inc., 1623 Whitesville Road, Toms River, NJ 08755-1199.
