ELLENDALE - Mr. John Conaway passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Conaway was born in Milford, to George and Edna Conaway.
John retired from Dan Lepore & Sons in Conshohocken, Pa. and the International Union of Brick Layers and Allied Craft workers which he was a member since 1990 where he was a master mason.
John loved spending time with his family. He loved to garden especially working in his rose beds. He also was an avid pool player. John was a life member of the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company where he serviced as both Chief and President. He also was a member of the Moose Lodge #2316. John will be sadly missed by all.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kendal Conaway.
He is survived by his son, Michael (Melanie) Conaway of Delmar, Md.; daughter, Barbara (Lee) Sheffler of Ellendale; sister, Lois Loretta Howlett of Bethany Beach; grandchildren, Rachel, Samantha, & Benjamin; 3 great-grandchildren.
Services will take place at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 West Market St., Greenwood, DE, on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 12 noon with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at St. Johnstown Cemetery, in Greenwood DE.
