SMYRNA - John C. Foraker, Jr., age 64, of Smyrna, passed away on November 11, 2014. He was born May 10, 1950 in Wilmington, the son of the late John Sr. and Georgia Foraker. John served his country with honor in the US Army. He retired after over 30 years as an Accountant for the VA Hospital in Elsmere. John enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching the Phillies. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Lane. He is survived by two daughters, Melissa Foraker of Fairfax, Va. and Jennifer Foraker of Dover; and two nieces, Patty Utley and Sandy Wiley. A visitation will be 10 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2014 in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 am.
