LAUREL - Joan M. Bailey, of Laurel, passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. She was 65.
She was born in Delaware City, a daughter of the late James and Resa McIntyre.
Mrs. Bailey was a seamstress with Kim's Manufacturing in Seaford. She loved to dance in her younger years and adored her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "BoBo" Bailey in 1989.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William "Bill" Bailey Jr. and and his wife Sharon of Laurel; her daughters, Resa Dimes and her husband Terry of Delmar and Dorothy Bailey of Laurel; a sister, Barbara Cook and her husband Robert of Laurel; her grandchildren, William Bailey, Kyle Bailey and his girlfriend Evelyn Satterfield, Patrick Bailey Jefferson, and Coty Bailey; a great-grandson, Tristen Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. today in the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West Street, Laurel, where friends and family may call one hour prior.
The Rev. Roland Tice will officiate.
Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Contributions can be made in her memory to defer expenses to William Bailey Jr., 31424 Mt. Pleasant Road, Laurel, DE 19956.
