Joan Ann Hardee

Joan Ann Hardee, 70

DENTON, Md. - Joan Ann Hardee of Denton died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, in the Caroline Home for Hospice in Denton surrounded by her children. She was 70.

Born in Baltimore, Mrs. Hardee was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Dorothy V. Majka Nehring.

Mrs. Hardee came to Denton in 1960.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Elizabeth"s Roman Catholic Church in Denton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Robert Hardee, on died May 8, 2004; three brothers, Joseph Nehring, David Nehring, and Gilbert Nehring; and one sister, Marie Nehring.

Mrs. Hardee is survived by four sons, P. Robert "Bobby" Hardee, Jr. of Ridgely, Md., Ronald Hardee of Denton, W. Lee Hardee of Seaford, and D. Wayne Hardee of Harrington; three daughters, Margie M. Cooper of Denton, J. Lynn Wagner of Greenwood, and Dottie Hardee of Greensboro, Md.; two sisters, Bernadine DeVille and Jeanette Sauerhoff, both of Severn, Md.; one brother, Bernard Nehring of Stevensville, Md.; six grandchildren, Kasey, David, Craig, Lindsay, Jarrett, and Austin; and one great-grandchild, Grace. She was predeceased by three brothers: Joseph Nehring, David Nehring, and Gilbert Nehring; and one sister, Marie Nehring.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second St. in Denton, where friends may call from 12:30 until time of service.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests sending memorial donations to the Caroline Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 362, Denton, MD 21629.
