Jean Motter

RIDGELY, Md. - Jean Motter passed away on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019 in the Caroline Nursing Home in Denton, Md.
Born in Harrington, Mrs. Motter was the daughter of the late Thomas Grant and Lydia Simpson Grant. She was a graduate of the Harrington High School. She married her husband, Clyde L. Motter on June 17, 1960. He passed away on August 21, 2017. She was a stay-at-home mother and housewife.
Mrs. Motter is survived by two sons, Kenneth J. Motter (Colleen) of Denton and Kevin G. Motter (Faith) of Ridgely; a grandson, Gradon Motter of Denton; and a sister, Grace Ellwanger of Denton. She was predeceased by two granddaughters, Abigail Marie Motter and Gabrielle Lynn Motter; four brothers, Charles Grant, Nelson Grant, Paul H. Grant, and William Grant; and two sisters, Cynthia G. Bloth and Corinne G. Fitz.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019 in the Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington. If friends wish to send memorial donations, the family suggests sending them to the March of Dimes Foundation, 917 Snow Hill Rd., Salisbury, MD 21804.
