MILFORD - Jean E. Dorman, 90, of Harrington, Del., formerly of Milford, Del., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 in Milford Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Dorman was born in Ridgely, Md., the daughter of the late Charles and Annie (Stack) Hammond. She was a homemaker. Jean was very involved in her childrens' and grandchildrens' lives. She had a heart of gold and took care of many of the children in Milford as they grew up. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Daryl Dorman, her late husband John C. Dorman and two sisters. She is survived by six children John Charles Dorman, Barbara Renee Lynch, Cheryl Lynn Edwards, Robert Blackston Dorman, Debbie Renee Hoopengardner, and Brenda Christine Burton; her grandchildren Doreen Weiss, Darren Dorman, Devon Dorman, Ronda Abraham, Ricky Reed, Russell L. Wright, Clinton Wade Wright, Darick Dorman, Dean Dorman, Robert Dorman, Courtney Krebel Cox, Ashlee L. Krebel, John W. Hoopengardner, Jr., Toni Renee King, Anthony Ernest King, Daryl Anderson Dorman and Douglas Alden Dorman; 40 plus great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where friends may call from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Ridgely Cemetery, Ridgely, MD. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Freedom Worship Center, 22033 Shockley Road, Milford, DE 19963.
