Jay Massey Cannon

GEORGETOWN - Jay Massey Cannon, of Georgetown, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at home. He was 60. Jay was born in Milford, De, the son of the late Harry L. and Eleanor (Massey) Cannon. He was a bridge tendor for the State of Delaware for 15 years retiring in 1993. He enjoyed doing yard work, antique cars, loved 50's music and riding his motorcycle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina Cannon. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Debra "Burris" Cannon; son, Michael T. Cannon and his wife Amy of Georgetown; and one grandchild, Aiden M. Cannon. Funeral Services will be noon, Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be in Dagsboro Cemetery, Dagsboro.
