DOVER - Janice Vanzandt Hirsh, of Dover, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008, in Christiana Care-Christiana Hospital, Newark. She was 76.
Janice was born Oct. 14, 1931, in Philadelphia, to the late Harry and Merrill (Jackson) Holmes.
She worked as a sales person for Sears.
Janice is survived by a daughter, Susan Higgins and her husband Tim of Wyoming; a son, Rick Hirsh and his wife Lisa of Clearwater, Fla.; two grandchildren, Christopher Higgins and his wife Chrystal of Magnolia and Bethany DeJesus of Frederica; and six great-grandchildren, Skylar Higgins, Abby DeJesus, Emily DeJesus, Tori Higgins, Amy Higgins and Melanie DeJesus.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour before services.
Burial will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Wyoming United Methodist Church Building Fund, 112 Broad St., Wyoming, DE 19934.
