Janet Johnson

GOLDSBORO - Janet Johnson died on May 11, 2013 in the Hospice of Queen Anne at Centreville, Md. She was born in Flat Gap, Va. on Feb. 1, 1933 to the late Henry and Cassie Sturgill Bolling. She was employed by the State of Maryland and retired after 25 years as the medical records director at Upper Shore Hospital Center in Chestertown. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Heartland Quilt Guild of Denton, Helping Hands Quilt Guild of Dover, as well as the Feed Sack Club. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the St. Benedict Catholic Parish in Ridgely, Md. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Ernest Bolling. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles Johnson, Sr. of Goldsboro; step father Charles Ohler of Millersville, Md.; son, Charles Johnson, Jr. of Easton; daughters, Cheryl Busch of White Marsh, Md., Susan Johnson of Goldsboro, Md., Pamela Hardy of Crofton, Md., Mary Pander of York, Pa.; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Ridgley, Md. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Ridgely, MD. Condolences can be made at www.fleegleandhelfenbein.com.
