Janet Heyer Biesecker, 80
DOVER - Janet Heyer Biesecker passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Bayhealth Hospital.
Mrs. Biesecker was born August 13, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late William Heyer and Rose Lapota Heyer. She was raised in Pittsburgh and graduated from St. Frances Academy.
After moving to Delaware in 1979 she worked as an administrative assistant for a Real Estate Company for several years, then Dover Mall and Blue Hen Mall Corporate Center as an Office Manager retiring after 24 years in 2003. She enjoyed reading, traveling and fishing with her husband.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Biesecker.
She is survived by her children, Christine Pedrotty of Magnolia, Terri Schleifer and her husband Kevin of Newark, and Tom Welch and his wife Amy of Wilmington; step-daughters, Karen Albrecht and her husband Dane of FL and Sandy Custer of MD; sister, Rose Marie O'Halek of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Michael, Josh, Amber, Tommy, Ben and Alyssa; great grandchildren, Bailee and Eleanor.
Funeral services will be held 11AM, Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (R.10), Dover. A viewing will be held one hour prior. Interment will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
