LONG NECK - Jane A. Rexrode, age 73, of Long Neck, formerly of Pottstown, Pa., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at her home. Ms. Rexrode was born in Limerick, Pa., on May 21, 1937, daughter of the late Nelson and Mabel (Stearly) Hiltebeitel. She retired from Beebe Medical Center as a Food Nutritionist after 11 years of service. Jane also owned her own business for 25 years called Arizona Trader where she enjoyed making Indian jewelry. She also enjoyed landscaping, gardening and going to the local craft shows where she would frequently sell the jewelry that she made. Ms. Rexrode was a Ladies Auxiliary member at the American Legion Post 28 in Oak Orchard and a Ladies Auxiliary member of Amvets Post 2 of Long Neck. Jane was deeply devoted to her family and friends and will be missed by all. She is survived by three children, Gary L. Rexrode of Long Neck, Sharon A. Iannelli of Long Neck, and Jayne M. Ortlip and her husband Ken of Mohnton, Pa.; three grandchildren, Aimee M. Iannelli of Fairfax, Va., Damien J. Rexrode of Mohnton, Pa., and Miranda M. Rexrode of Spring City, Pa.; and a close friend and "adopted daughter," Dee Hoak of Honeybrook, Pa. A celebration of Jane's life will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010 at the Lakeside Community Center, 33076 Rock Cove, Long Neck, DE 19966. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Jane's name to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901.
