GEORGETOWN - James W. Connor of Georgetown died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, in his residence. He was 81.
Mr. Connor was born in Elkton, Md., son of the late George Edward Connor and Ruby Priscilla (Beauchamp) Connor.
He had been employed as a painter in both residential and commercial painting.
James loved to bowl and shoot pool and had earned several certificates through winning tournaments at the CHEER Center.
He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Georgetown, since 1995.
Mr. Connor was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Conner was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Virginia (Rogers) Connor, in March 1993.
He is survived by one daughter, Audrey E. Connor; five sons and four daughters-in-law, W. James Connor and Deborah, Charles A. Connor Joyce, Ronald R. Connor and Jacque, John U. Connor and Kathy and L. Martin Connor; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Del. 9, Georgetown, with Frank Bailey officiating.
Interment will be private in Harbeson Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
